In accordance with the Requirements of ICAO, the Sheremetyevo International Airport and the RF State Bodies, located at the Sheremetyevo Airport, please be informed about the following:

In order to avoid prohibition of unloading of radioactive cargoes from the aircraft in the Sheremetyevo Airport and return of them to the point of departure, carriage of the radioactive cargoes, arriving at the Sheremetyevo Airport, must be coordinated beforehand with the warehouse for temporary storage in the Sheremetyevo Airport.

Before accepting radioactive cargoes, a carrier, beforehand, should request a responsible person of the warehouse for temporary storage in the Sheremetyevo Airport for possibility of acceptance of such cargo by sending a standard telegram, recommended by ICAO, IATA (SITA addresses for coordination of the matter about placing radioactive cargoes in the warehouse for temporary storage of “Sheremetyevo-Cargo” J.S.C. are as follows: SVOFF7X and SVOIC7X.

Notes:

1). A telegram about a planned carriage of radioactive cargoes should contain the following information: a shipper, a consignee (a contact telephone included), nature of cargo, number of pieces, weight and AWB number.

2). A telegram can be sent by other participants of the process of carriage of this category of cargoes (airlines, agents, forwarders, brokers and manufacturers).

After checking possibility of acceptance and handling in the warehouse for temporary storage and coordination of lawfulness of import of this cargo with a responsible official of the Sheremetyevo customs, a representative of the warehouse for temporary storage will sent a telegram to the airline about possibility or impossibility to accept this cargo.
