The purpose of control is to know the condition of freight after flight. The service includes making records of irregularities after unloading from an aircraft, then after acceptance to the warehouse including taking photos of the cargo pieces in the breakdown area.

Freight photos may cover all pieces including undamaged areas or may be taken selectively (for instance, only damaged areas).

A statement is compiled against each air waybill and includes description of the arrived freight condition as of the time of acceptance on apron near the aircraft and in the breakdown area of the warehouse. In the future the said information may be useful in investigation of all shipping circumstances and in identification of causes of an irregularity.
